Lovage Rooftop Makes 40th Street Funky 37 Stories Up

It’s rooftop bar season and here’s another to add to your list, should such a thing exist. Here’s a peek at Lovage on top of a building on West 40th Street.
The bar’s got some pizzazz, we’ll give it that. Mismatched upholstery, laser-cut glass on the walls, and that’s before you get to the views, which wrap around 360 degrees. You can spot several landmarks from up there and the enclosed glass means good viewing even in the rain or when it’s cold. There’s even a fireplace—add it to your fireplace list, too!

Hidden away west of Times Square, out of the tourist zone, this warm and inviting restaurant waits below an elevated cocktail oasis with a view of the electric city. The lounge is situated right next to the notorious Sky Room and boasts to have a space one floor higher at 37 floors above street level.
