Press About Clubs
owned by Ric Addison:
Rooftop bars aren’t just for the summer.
Covered, heated and ready for beautiful views of the snow-coated city, these rooftop bars are happy to host you in the sky no matter what the weather is.
Cheers to rooftop drinking all year long!
We were seated at a corner table with a view of both inside and outside.
There are several places that real New Yorkers — the people who were born here and stayed here — will avoid at all costs, and they usually end in the word “square.”
Herald Square is a great example.
Rooftop bar alert! Ric Addison and Stephen Daly, nightlife impresarios behind Ava Rooftop at Midtown’s Dream Hotel, are opening their latest penthouse haunt next week (we hear Tuesday or Wednesday). Dubbed Monarch, the 5,000-square foot venue can fit 300 revelers, a welcome feat in a neighborhood that’s full of less-than-stellar imbibing options. Cocktails are by Liquid Lab NYC and you’ll be able to scope out stellar views of the Empire State Building from the cushioned patio seating outside. The venue is located at 71 West 35th Street.
MIDTOWN — A king-size cocktail lounge began its reign atop a Midtown hotel Wednesday.
Monarch, located on the 18th floor of the Courtyard by Marriott at 960 Sixth Ave., is a 5,000-square-foot, 300-person bar sporting an expansive drinks list, light food and desserts, and a “Scandinavion-chic” decor.
Monarch Rooftop Lounge Is this the cheapest happy hour in New York City? It’s not. But, sometimes, you’re looking to splurge a bit. That’s where the Monarch Rooftop Lounge comes in. Obviously, the views are amazing, but the venue also strikes $3 off its $16 signature cocktails during the 4 to 7 p.m. happy hour and offers Buzz Bars, $8 alcohol-infused ice cream for adults.
